The Work and Travel Program allows students to spend up to four months working for Deer Valley Resort during their vacation. Deer Valley is looking for enthusiastic applicants who have a passion for working at a ski resort.
J-1 Visa Intern/Trainee Program
Deer Valley hires a number of International Interns in our Culinary and Baking Program, Hospitality Management Program and our Restaurant Management Program. Interested applicants must go through our sponsor agency, Janus International. This program differs from the Summer Work and Travel Program in that the applicants can work in the United States on a six or twelve month visa. You must be able to work with us from December 1st through the second week in April.
J-1 students must go through either CCUS or CIEE sponsor agencies as a first year student to Deer Valley to be considered for employment. We do not accept Independent J-1 student applications. Deer Valley Resort will be working with the following J-1 companies to complete our hiring for the 2014-15 ski season. Deer Valley Resort will not be participating in the H-2B visa program for the 2014-15 ski season. We will continue to evaluate the status of the program for future seasons.
Deer Valley is a ski only resort. Guests on alpine, telemark or mono ski equipment with feet placed side by side and facing forward are allowed. Snowboards and carving boards are restricted from use.
Reasonable accommodations for adaptive ski devices will be made, however the equipment must be in accordance with the resort's ski only policy.
