Deer Valley's Summer Adventure Camp is based out of the Children's Center at Snow Park Lodge. Surrounded by incredible mountains with hiking trails, hillside playgrounds and duck ponds, this state-licensed center provides a separate 'home base' for each age group. The center has built-in nooks for entertainment and performances, a bouldering climbing wall and a full supply of craft projects, games, puzzles, videos and books to complement our outdoor activities. Counselor ratios for infants are one to three; for toddlers, one to four; and, for older children, one for a group of five to eight. The center is a nut-free environment.
Due to the popularity of this program, we often reach camper capacity. Advance reservations are essential. Please call 435-645-6648 or 888-754-8477 for availability, reservations or additional information. Cancellations/changes must be made before 5 p.m. two days prior to the reservation; otherwise a cancellation fee of $25 will be charged. Please note: Please be aware that we charge camp reservations in full at the time of booking. Refer to the Reservation Request form for details. Our camp counselors are trained professionals who are experienced in child care. Many of them work in our children's ski programs and Children's Center during the winter or Deer Valley Academy during the school year. Counselor ratios for infants are one to three; for toddlers, one to four; and, for older children, one for a group of five to eight.
Sunflowers are infants aged 2 through 11 months. We offer fun play and quiet time for your little ones in our state-licensed child care facility.
Grasshoppers (12 - 18 months), Little Ramblers (19 - 23 months) and Ramblers (age 2 years) enjoy play time with friends, music and movement, art and many other organized activities in a fun environment. We have separate rooms, counselors and activities for each group in accordance with developmental licensing requirements.
Trekkers (ages 3 through 4 years and completely potty trained) are led in small group settings while they have fun discovering nature and making new friends. Exciting local outings are planned weekly to explore our mountain environment.
Explorers Explorers (5 through 6 years of age) participate in creative activities, nature discovery studies and team-oriented sporting events under the guidance of enthusiastic counselors. We also offer an additional activity for our Explorers at The Mine Bouldering Gym for $10 on June 20, July 18 and August 8 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Exciting field trips are planned weekly to explore a variety of recreational resources in the area. Hiking, mountain biking*, basic biking skills*, swimming, rollerblading, scavenger hunts, wet and wild water games, volunteer projects and creative arts and crafts are all part of this fun and educational program.
Mountaineers (7 through 12 years of age) will also participate in creative activities, nature discovery studies and team-oriented sporting events under the guidance of enthusiastic counselors. Exciting field trips are planned weekly to explore a variety of recreational resources in the area. We also offer additional activities for our Mountaineers on Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. throughout this summer. These outings include Park City Sailing, Standup Paddleboarding with PC SUP, Bike Lessons at Deer Valley and The Paint Mixer on Park City's Main Street. Hiking, mountain biking*, basic biking skills*, swimming, rollerblading, scavenger hunts, wet and wild water games, volunteer projects and creative arts and crafts are all part of this fun and educational program.
*Bicycles are not provided. Please click here for Deer Valley bike rentals.
Each summer, the campers participate in S.A.V.E. (Summer Adventure Volunteer Effort), which raises money through an art show for a selected organization. Some of our past recipients have been Wrightsville Beach Sea Turtle Project, the Blind Children's Learning Center, Ocearch and the People's Health Clinic. In 2017, the campers raised $1,000 for the Christian Center of Park City’s Back 2 School Basics program.
The annual Art Show, held the first week of August, allows the campers to proudly display the many and varied art projects they worked on so diligently all summer. The pieces are available to purchase for a donation to that year's S.A.V.E. project.
