Ski Rentals 2018 - 2019 Season

The Deer Valley Rental Shop offers a full line of high-quality Rossignol equipment designed in the latest ski technology and tuned by certified technicians. Our three locations and convenient hours make the rental process a breeze.

Please Note: Online rentals may be purchased up to two days prior to skiing by 11:59 p.m. (subject to change during holiday periods). Cancellations or changes to online rental must be made by telephone by calling 888-754-8477 or 435-645-6648.

Advance reservations are recommended throughout the ski season and may be made by calling Skier Services at 888-754-8477 or 435-645-6648, or by clicking here. We will need to know skier's height, weight, shoe size, age and skier type (click for Skier Types) to make a reservation. As an extended guest service, Ski School lessons, lift tickets and child care may also be purchased in the Rental Shops.

Be sure to inquire about our Bambi Club and Fawn Special rental package when reserving Ski School for three or four year-olds.

The demand for “adult-type” skis for younger skiers has increased steadily over the last few years. Rossignol delivers the same modern shapes, adult constructions and exceptional durability as is found in its adult skis but in softer flexes and shorter sizes. Aspiring big mountain rippers will be blown away by the shapes, graphics and performance of these skis whether in powder, in the chutes, the trees or while on the NASTAR race course.

Developed in association with the highly-acclaimed Terrain Based Learning™ program, the junior TERRAIN ski has proven to make learning to ski easier and more fun. A specifically designed junior rocker profile allows juniors to use changing terrain to their advantage and easily pivot, steer, and stop, making learning to ski a more intuitive process so progression comes quicker and easier.

Junior ski boot options include:

  • R18: smallest; 1-buckle, rear-entry boot, sizes: 15.5 - 17.
  • Comp J3: larger; 3-buckle boot, sizes: 18.5 – 22.5
  • Comp J4: largest; 4-buckle boot, sizes: 23.5 - 25.5

The R18 is a comfortable, easy-to-use introductory kid's boot for first-time junior skiers. The classic rear-entry design provides a large cuff opening for the easiest entry and exit possible. The simple one-buckle design is quick and effortless so parents can get the little ones out on the hill faster. Incredibly easy-to-use, comfortable and kid-friendly, the R18 is designed for the youngest skiers on the hill who are still learning how to "pizza" and "french fry".

The Comp J3 is a comfortable, easy-to-use junior boot designed for aspiring junior skiers. The Comp J3 features our acclaimed Sensor Fit to deliver increased comfort, performance and warmth while addressing all of the common problem fit areas. The three-buckle design with adjustable cuff catches provide enhanced support and allow an easier fit for fast-growing kids. The Comp J3 is designed to help junior skiers develop solid basics and encourage them to experience the thrill of winter and skiing.

The models of boots provided are designed to meet most foot and calf characteristics along with the desired degree of stiffness. Both boots are designed for soft to medium fit. The technician will choose the appropriate model of boot to fit your needs.

Skier Types

  1. Skis conservatively, prefers slower speeds and moderate slopes with lower-than-average release/retention settings
  2. Skis moderately, prefers a variety of speeds and varied terrain including most difficult trails
  3. Skis aggressively, prefers most difficult, varied terrain with higher-than-average release/retention settings

POLICIES

Cancellations, Changes and No-shows — We will gladly give you a full refund if you cancel before 5 p.m. three days prior to your reservation; otherwise a $20 fee per reserved product will apply. No refunds for 'day of' cancellations. No-shows for any reserved services will be charged the full day rate for the missed day and the remaining days will be cancelled. Products cancelled after the start time are considered a 'no-show.'

Payment — Skier Services products that are reserved in advance will be charged in full to the credit card provided within 24 hours of booking.

Weather and Snow Conditions - Weather and snow conditions are not considered reasons for cancellation.

Helmets - Deer Valley encourages our guests to educate themselves about wearing helmets while skiing. To obtain information regarding this topic, please visit the National Ski Area Association website at www.nsaa.org , or stop by any of our Skier Services Sales locations on your next visit.

Symbol for First Time Skier Ability FIRST-TIMER (FT) Never skied before or is unable to stop in a wedge on the easiest of green trails. Learning to stop in a wedge and turn in both directions for speed control.
Symbol for Beginner Skier Ability BEGINNER (BG) Can control speed by linking turns and stopping in a wedge on green terrain. Learning to match skis and skid turns to explore green trails on the mountain.
Symbol for Advanced Beginner Skier Ability ADVANCED BEGINNER (AB) Can link turns with mostly parallel skis to control speed. Can stop when desired on ALL green and easy blue trails. Learning to comfortably make parallel turns on blue terrain.
