The scenic single-track trail begins at just under 8,100 feet as it traverses from Deer Valley Resort to Park City Mountain Resort and The Colony, before descending to the Canyons Resort's base area at 6,800 feet. Visit mountaintrails.org/events/mid-mtn-marathon/ for more information.
The Christian Center of Park City's third annual Hike For Hunger event will take place at Snow Park Lodge. The event is being held to create awareness and help fight global and local hunger.
Enjoy the beauty of Deer Valley Resort with a free guided hike of the area. These hikes last three to four hours, cover moderately strenuous terrain, are typically less than six miles long and highlight the area's mining history.
Participants meet near the base of Sterling Express chairlift, located mid-mountain at Silver Lake Lodge. Hikes depart at 9:30 a.m. The guided hikes are scheduled on September 14, and October 12, 2014.
Reservations are not required, however group size may be limited. Participants should be in good shape, wear sturdy footwear, bring proper sun protection and carry plenty of water and snacks. For the safety of others who share the mountain, no dogs please.
