The Snow Park Ponds in the base area are home to paddleboarding while several horseback ride options are available from mid-mountain, Deer Valley®.
A variety of ride options are available ranging from one hour to a full-day. Meal options are available to complement your half and full-day rides; or try a chuckwagon hayride or western style bar-b-que dinner. In addition, our special group ride includes a two-hour horseback ride through the mountains of Deer Valley Resort. This ride provides the most spectacular views of the area with mountain trail options available for more experienced riders. Park City SUP will begin offering board rentals, lessons, demos, sales and classes in May 2015. Beginning May 8 and 9, Park City SUP will be open weekends by appointment (weather permitting). In June, they will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. Deer Valley Resort's Snow Park ponds are an incredible place to experience SUP. With little wind, no boats and no waves, people of all ages and abilities can enjoy this great activity. Park City SUP offers daily yoga and fit classes at 10 a.m., seven days a week during June, July and August. Cost is $20 and includes use of a board and paddle. Space is limited. Deer Valley is a ski only resort. Guests on alpine, telemark or mono ski equipment with feet placed side by side and facing forward are allowed. Snowboards and carving boards are restricted from use.
Reasonable accommodations for adaptive ski devices will be made, however the equipment must be in accordance with the resort's ski only policy.
