Take in grand views of the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains as you enjoy a leisurely chairlift ride up Silver Lake Express from the base, Sterling Express at mid-mountain or Ruby Express at Empire Canyon. At the top, stretch your legs and explore one of the many hiking trails that wander through Deer Valley. Or simply enjoy the fresh, alpine air at the top before re-boarding the chairlift for your ride back down. Those hiking up the mountain can enjoy a complimentary chairlift ride down.
Please be aware that good hiking shoes are recommended.
Please note: Due to construction in the Silver Lake area, there will be very limited public parking this summer. For your convenience, we recommend starting your day at Snow Park, which offers ample parking.
Chairlift Hours: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Last round-trip leaves at 4:30 p.m.
Twilight Series Hours: Wednesdays, beginning June 20 through August 22 from 4 to 8 p.m.

Explore local trails, learn about the history of the area and familiarize yourself with the native flora while enjoying a hike with one of our knowledgeable guides. A guided hiking tour is $46 per hour for up to five hikers. Please note all hikes must be a two hour minimum.
Enjoy the beauty of Deer Valley Resort with a guided hike of the area. These hikes last three to four hours, cover moderately strenuous terrain, are typically less than six miles long and highlight the area’s mining history. Participants meet near the base of the Sterling Express chairlift, located mid-mountain at Silver Lake Lodge. Hikes depart at 8:30 a.m. The guided hikes are scheduled on June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9, and October 14, 2018, (weather and conditions permitting). A portion of the sales go to Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History. Reservations are required and a $10 fee applies. Please call 435-645-6648 to make a reservation.
Group size is limited to 36 participants. Participants should be in good shape, wear sturdy footwear, bring proper sun protection and carry plenty of water and snacks. For the safety of others who share the mountain, no dogs please. Please fill out the Mountain Access Agreement and Release of Liability form in advance to expedite the check-in process for the Guided Historical Hike.
