Hiking Trail Descriptions

Please obey signs for your safety. Trails may be temporarily closed at any time due to construction and/or maintenance. Good, sturdy hiking shoes are recommended.

Multi-Use Trails

Lakeside Trails: 1 mile.
A series of paved trails that surround the lakes just past the Snow Park parking lots.

McHenry's Practice Loops: 1.5 miles.
Access on the dirt road to the east of the Homestake lift on the right of McHenry's ski run.

Deer Camp: 3.5 miles.
This trail begins in the meadow and is located to the right of the double track on the way to Flagstaff Mountain.

Mid-Mountain Trail:
This stunning, scenic single-track trail traverses Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort and The Canyons, connecting all three resorts and offering spectacular scenic vistas, lush forests and beautiful aspen groves. See map at the ticket office.

Tour De Homes: 2.5 miles.
Located just off Sterling Drive at Silver Lake. This wide trail follows ski runs through some of Deer Valley's most beautiful homes.

Deer Crest: 2.5 miles.
A wide trail, accessed via Four Point, that connects with Bald Eagle and Deer Crest. This trail ends just east of Snow Park Lodge.

Super G Trees: .8 mile.
Access from Naildriver to the right of the meadow. A single track with long turns through the aspens.

G.S. Trees: .5 mile.
Access from Naildriver to the right, 1.3 miles from the top of the Sterling Express lift after crossing the Homeward Bound ski run. This run is a constantly turning single track through a thick aspen grove.

Four Point: 1 mile.
A single-track trail that connects to the Deer Crest trail system.

Flagstaff Loop: 4 miles.
Access from Deer Camp. You will encounter a mix of uphill and downhill stretches.

Tour Des Suds: 6 miles.
Access from Flagstaff Loop. A true cross-country trail encircling Flagstaff Mountain. Mainly on single track. Caution: Watch for uphill biking traffic!

TBB "Team Big Bear": 2 miles.
A cross-country trail that meanders through open meadows then drops through rugged forest. Caution: Watch for uphill biking traffic! Access from Flagstaff Loop or Tour Des Suds.

Ontario Loop: .5 mile.
Traverse around Ontario Bowl. Offers great views of the Silver Lake Village.

Hiking-only Trails

Silver Lake Trail: 2 miles.
Moderate descent/strenuous ascent +/- 1,400'.
This trail encircles the top half of Bald Mountain, offering spectacular views in all directions.

Scenic Overlook: .25 mile out and back.
Easy +/- 100' access via top of Sterling chair.
This is a short hike offering beautiful views of the Jordanelle Reservoir and Uinta Mountains.

Sultan Out & Back: 5 miles.
Easy decent/moderate ascent +/- 900'.
Access to the east of Silver Lake Lodge. A gradual decent through aspens and pines ending at a viewing deck of Jordanelle Reservoir and Uinta Mountain. No lift-served access.

Nabob Loop: 1 mile.
Easy decent/moderate ascent +/- 250'.
Access to the east of Silver Lake Lodge. A short single track loop from Silver Lake to the Nabob ski trail and back. No lift-served access.

Ontario Canyon Trail: 2.5 miles.
Moderate descent/strenuous ascent +/- 1,400'.
This trail descends the back side of Bald Mountain through a wide-open meadow, finishing in Ontario Canyon. The trail is a steep single track for the first mile and then becomes more gradual. This trail is a good option to connect to, or return from, the multi-use trail system on Flagstaff Mountain.

Be sure to watch for vehicles. Please note that all trails listed above are hiking only. Good trail shoes are a must.
