Deer Valley Summer Adventure Camp

Summer Adventure Camp

Connecting Youth to the Community
June 13 through August 19, 2011

Deer Valley Resort's Summer Adventure Camp is a fun, educational experience for children two months to 12 years of age! Deer Valley's Summer Adventure Camp offers creative and challenging activities and interests to ensure campers have fun while learning. Reservations can be reached at 435-645-6648. Summer Adventure Camp is located in Snow Park Lodge, in the base area of Deer Valley Resort. Surrounded by our incredible mountains, with hiking trails, hillside playgrounds and duck ponds, this state-licensed Children's Center provides separate 'home base' space for each age group. Counselor ratios are one to three for infants, one to four for toddlers and one to six-eight for older children. After June 13, the front desk can be reached at 435-645-6612.

The Logistics

  • Camp is open Monday through Friday, June 13 through August 19, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with organized activities from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for full-day registration and 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for half-day registration when applicable. (Camp will not be held Monday, July 4, and Friday, July 22.)

The Counselors

Our Camp counselors are trained professionals experienced in child care and safety.  Many of them work in our children's ski programs during the winter or our Deer Valley Academy during the school year.  The Counselor/Camper ratios are 1 to 3 for infants, 1 to 4 for toddlers and 1 to 6-8 for older children.

The Campers

Sunflowers are infants aged two through 11 months. We provide a safe play time and quiet time for your little ones in our state-licensed child care facility.

The Projects

Each summer, the Campers participate in S.A.V.E. (Summer Adventure Volunteer Effort), which raises money through an art show for a selected organization. Some of our past recipients have been the Carmen B. Pingree School for Children with Autism, Recycle Utah, Wrightsville Beach Sea Turtle Project and the Blind Children's Learning Center.  In 2010, the kids chose the National Wildlife Federation's Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund to help the animals affected by the oil spill.

The annual Art Show, held the first week of August, allows the Campers to proudly display the many and varied art projects they worked on so diligently all summer. The pieces are available to purchase for a donation to that year's S.A.V.E. project.
