Pre-school and Child Care for children ages two months to four years
When Deer Valley Resort opened its doors as a ski resort in December 1981, it included an innovative concept at that time -- a state-licensed child care facility for guests' non-skiing children. In an article in the guest newsletter, Deer Tales, dated November 1981, it was explained that "Deer Valley's Child Care Center will offer more than just a 'babysitting service.' Special developmental programs are being designed for the children so that their stay at the Center will be a learning experience as well as an enjoyable one."
Deer Valley Academy's Mission Statement is that it will, "...in partnership with participating parents, ensure that all children enrolled receive a solid foundation for future educational success."
Why send your child to Deer Valley Academy?
- State-licensed child care/pre-school facility
- Drop children off as early as 8 a.m. and pick them up as late as 5 p.m.; extended pick up until 5:30 for nominal fee. Hours of pre-school curriculum are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Competitive rates for expanded hours and special inclusive programs, such as ski lessons
- Weekly ski lessons in the winter are included in the price
- Age-appropriate curriculum for 9 months to 4 years old (Mother Goose Time pre-school curriculum, plus Little Goose supplement for infants/toddlers)

- Teachers are trained in early childhood education/child development and demonstrate the necessary personal qualities for working with young children. All teachers undergo a thorough reference check and background screening
