Hiking and Scenic Rides
Deer Valley's summer operation is open daily, beginning June 15 through Labor Day; then September 8 and 9 (conditions permitting). Lift-served mountain biking/hiking and scenic rides are offered from the Silver Lake Express chairlift at Snow Park Lodge, the Sterling Express chairlift at mid-mountain and the Ruby Express chairlift at Empire Canyon. For your convenience, we recommend starting your day from Snow Park, which offers ample parking. Bike rentals and lessons are available from all locations.
LIFT-SERVED HIKING and SCENIC CHAIRLIFT RIDES
Enjoy spectacular mountain scenery during a comfortable, padded chairlift. Once you reach the top, you can either explore one of our many hiking trails or simply reboard the chairlift and descend. Those hiking up the mountain can enjoy a free chairlift ride down. Please be aware that good hiking shoes are recommended.
Guided Hiking Tours
Explore local trails, learn about the history of the area and familiarize yourself with the native flora while enjoying a hike with one of our knowledgeable guides.

Cancellations/changes for lessons, rental or guides, you must cancel before 5 p.m. two days prior to the reservation; otherwise, a cancellation fee of $15 per product will be charged.

Scenic ride ticket is valid for a lift to the top of Bald Mountain, starting at Snow Park, Silver Lake, or Empire Canyon.

Complimentary Guided Historical Hikes
Enjoy the beauty of Deer Valley Resort and learn about the history of the area with a free guided hike. These hikes last three to four hours, cover moderately strenuous terrain, are less than six miles long and highlight the area’s mining history. Hikes depart at 9:30 a.m. near the base of the Sterling Express chairlift, located mid-mountain at Silver Lake Lodge. The guided hikes are scheduled on June 10, July 8, August 12, September 9 and October 14, 2012.
Reservations are not required but group size is limited. Participants should be in good shape, wear sturdy footwear, bring proper sun protection and carry plenty of water and snacks. For the safety of others who share the mountain, no dogs please.
