Enjoy the beauty of Deer Valley Resort with a guided hike of the area. These hikes last three to four hours, cover moderately strenuous terrain, are typically less than six miles long and highlight the area’s mining history. Participants meet near the base of the Sterling Express chairlift, located mid-mountain at Silver Lake Lodge. Hikes depart at 8:30 a.m. The guided hikes are scheduled on June 23, July 21, August 18, September 22, and October 20, 2019, (weather and conditions permitting). A portion of the sales go to Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History. Reservations are required and a $10 fee applies. Please call 435-645-6648 to make a reservation.
Group size is limited to 36 participants. Participants should be in good shape, wear sturdy footwear, bring proper sun protection and carry plenty of water and snacks. For the safety of others who share the mountain, no dogs please. Please fill out the Mountain Access Agreement and Release of Liability form in advance to expedite the check-in process for the Guided Historical Hike.
Please note: Due to construction in the Silver Lake area, there will be limited public parking this summer.
