Wedding FAQs

Do you host more than one event on the same day?
We host just one wedding per day, per venue—ensuring an exclusive and personalized experience from start to finish. Ceremony times typically begin between 4:00 and 6:00 PM, depending on your venue selection and the season, and you’ll have full access to the space through midnight. If you’d like to continue the celebration a bit longer, we’re happy to recommend a private after-party at The Sticky Wicket.

Is the venue handicap accessible?
We strive to accommodate guests of all mobility levels at each location. Our day lodges are ADA accessible; however, please note that our on-mountain ceremony venues are not wheelchair accessible due to terrain.

Is parking or valet services available?
Parking options will depend on your reception location. Silver Lake Lodge has parking for up to 60 vehicles and valet service can be arranged for an additional fee. At Empire Canyon Lodge, shuttle service is required and is managed by the client.
Is there a tasting included in the package?
We include a private tasting for all Gold Packages which can be scheduled three to six months prior to your event. Our Silver Package comes with a private cake tasting only.

Do you allow outside food and beverage to be brought in?
No, the Deer Valley Culinary team is here to prepare all food and beverage for the event. If you would like to customize the menu or discuss alternative options a private consultation will be scheduled. Due to Utah liquor laws, outside alcohol is not permitted at any event or function.
Are there any additional fees that I need to be aware of like venue rental or F&B minimum?
There are no reception venue rental fees or food and beverage minimums beyond the package pricing. Please note that certain ceremony locations may incur an additional charge, and alcohol is billed on a consumption basis. Additionally, all items are subject to a 25% service fee and applicable taxes.

Does pricing vary based on the day of the week or season?
Yes, package pricing does vary by day of the week and season. For details, please reference the package pricing in the brochure, or the winter package brochure for offerings from December through April.
Is a wedding planner required?
We require that a coordinator be contracted for a minimum of one month prior to the wedding date. All planners or coordinators must be licensed professionals, with a current business license and certificate of insurance on file with the resort. They may not be a guest of the wedding and must be present during the setup and breakdown of any vendors not coordinated by the Deer Valley Resort team. Planners not included on the Deer Valley preferred referral list are subject to approval prior to booking.

Can I hire my own vendors or is there a preferred vendor list we need to stick to?
Deer Valley welcomes new talent in the wedding industry or we have a easy-to-reference referral sheet to make your selections seamless. All vendors must be licensed and produce their COI 60 days prior to the event date.

Do you offer on-site coordination?
You will have one of our Banquet Sales Team members available to answer questions about Deer Valley along the way but we do not act as the overall wedding planner.
