Deer Valley Serves Up New R & R Sour For Mountain Mixer Cocktail Contest

DEER VALLEY RESORT; PARK CITY, UTAH (July 24, 2025) – Competition is stiff, and so are the drinks in this summer’s Mountain Mixer Cocktail Contest, hosted by the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA). Deer Valley Resort invites guests to The Brass Tag this month to try their new R & R Sour, which is vying for top honors in this year’s contest.

“We are so proud to showcase the incredible talent of Deer Valley Mixologist Megs Miller in this year’s Mountain Mixer Cocktail Contest,” said Deer Valley Resort Director of Beverage Josh Hockman. “We’re excited for guests to experience the refreshing R & R Sour throughout the month of July, and we look forward to hosting the culminating live competition later this summer.”

The R & R Sour, crafted by Mixologist Megs Miller, features High West bourbon, fresh raspberry and lemon, egg whites, house made rosemary syrup, orange bitters, and hickory smoke. The summer sipper is available now at The Brass Tag in The Lodges at Deer Valley through July 31, 2025. The fine Italian restaurant is open Thursday through Sunday, from 5 to 9 p.m. where up to two kids under 12 dine free per table throughout the summer.

A panel of secret judges will visit the participating venues of the Mountain Mixer Cocktail Contest throughout July and will select 10 finalists. Those finalists will move on to a live, in-person competition which will be hosted at Deer Valley on August 21, 2025. Mixologists will showcase their creativity, technique, and personal flair, while a panel of judges and a live audience will help crown the ultimate winner.
