Standup Paddleboarding. The ponds at Deer Valley are ideal to paddleboard with the whole family, and are among the first to “melt out” in spring. The shore is always in sight, plus water temperatures are balmy compared to other nearby bodies of water. The friendly confines of these interconnected waterways are absent motorized (read: fast-moving) craft, offering a relaxed place to learn to paddle. Seasoned SUPers will find fun tracing the shoreline in both directions for a solid day on the water. Lessons and rentals are available.

Hiking. Miles of trails await the tread of your boots if the family is up for a bit of a walk. A number of trails begin at Silver Lake Village, while higher elevation options beckon atop Bald Mountain, accessed via Sterling Express chairlift. Grab a trail map and look for routes such as Ontario Canyon, Red Cloud, and Silver Lake. Each clock in at around two miles, but they have a fair amount of elevation gain that can test little legs. Scenic Chairlift Rides. Enjoy a leisurely chairlift ride up Silver Lake Express from the base and then board Sterling Express at mid-mountain to access Bald Mountain. At the top, stretch your legs and explore one of the many hiking trails that wander through Deer Valley. Or simply enjoy the fresh, alpine air at the top before re-boarding the chairlift for your ride back down.

Summer Scenic Special. For a limited time, purchase in advance and enjoy up to 60% off scenic lift tickets. Plus, get one free kid's ticket (ages 5-12) with each paying adult. Children 4 and under always ride free. On weekends enjoy live music from local artists and al fresco dining options, hiking trails and high alpine scenery photo opportunities.

Mountain Biking. Mix the weather of hiking with the gravitational thrill of skiing and you have…mountain biking! Like the latter, there are beginner options to learn this new way of exploring the resort. Holy Roller, a green circle – just like skiing – is a fantastic entry to the sport. Full suspension bikes smooth out the small bumps and rollers on this wide path that begins atop Sterling Express and finishes back at Silver Lake Village. New this season, intermediate and advanced riders between the ages of 10 to 14 years old are invited to level up their skills in our Kids Gravity Camp.

Summer Concerts. Discover the Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater, home to the Deer Valley Concert Series and the Deer Valley Music Festival. Bring a blanket or chairs, pre-order a gourmet picnic bag or grab a meal from the Grab & Go, and dance the evening away as a family!

Deer Valley Café. Adjacent to the Deer Valley ponds, and located in the Deer Valley Plaza building, Deer Valley Café is one of the better-kept local secret spots to grab a bite to eat. Enjoy favorites such as the Turkey Chili and freshly-baked cookies, along with a full breakfast and lunch menu that includes soups, salads, sandwiches, and more. Live music on the patio during warmer months is a great cap to a day on the water or trails.
