The Fox US Open of Mountain Biking is coming to Deer Valley! Join us September 11–13, 2026, as Deer Valley hosts the final round of the Pro Downhill Series, the Official US National Mountain Bike Championship, on Bald Eagle Mountain.
Over three days of competition, professional, amateur, youth, and adaptive athletes will compete for championship titles on Deer Valley's renowned downhill terrain. Pro Finals will take place on Saturday, September 12. Spectators can experience elite downhill racing, explore Deer Valley's lift-served bike park, and enjoy a weekend celebrating mountain biking at one of the sport's premier venues.
All guests must have a ticket to attend and may choose one of two options: reserve a free spectator ticket for access to the Snow Park base area and walk up to view the race, or purchase a Pro Downhill Course Scenic Ride Ticket. The paid ticket includes one ride on Silver Lake Express to the Silver Lake area, where guests can stop for lunch, and one ride on Homestake Express to access the race venue. After watching the race, guests will walk back down to the Snow Park base area. Please note that chairlifts will be open to the public starting at 10 a.m.

When is the Fox US OPEN of Mountain Biking?
Thursday, September 10 Sunday, September 13, 2026. In-person, athlete registration opens on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Where is the DH Course Located?
The downhill course is located on the NCS trail which has been completely rebuilt for this competition. The start is located atop Bald Eagle right off the Homestake Express and Carpenter Express chairlift top terminals. The course descends through various sections of wooded terrain, manicured dirt trail, jumps, and open ski slope to the finish line which is in the Snow Park base area adjacent to the Carpenter lift bottom terminal.
Where can we park?
All parking for the event will be at Snow Park. We highly encourage the local community and others to use the bus system to be dropped off right at the venue or ride your bike! We will have a free bike corral for those biking to the event.
Is the event free?
Yes! The event is free, but you must obtain a free spectator ticket to walk up from the Snow Park Base Area to view the course.
If the event is free why the need for a ticket?
Hiking up and down a mountain is no easy task, so waivers are required to access the trail, and we also have traffic mitigation plans in place based on the number of spectators that we need to work with the local authorities and towns on.
Can I take a chairlift up and walk down?
Yes, but a lift ticket is required. A special $13 spectator lift ticket is available for purchase. This will give you access to the Silver Lake Express and the Homestake Express chairlift which brings you to the top of the course where you can walk down from the start.
When is the best time to see competition?
Practice will be ongoing Thursday and Friday with pro course seeding starting at 2 p.m. Friday. Friday night is a fun PRO at Silver Lake at 5 p.m.Saturday is the Pro Finals starting at 2 p.m. with awards to immediately follow at the Snow Park Venue.Sunday is the Amateur Finals starting at 12 p.m. with awards to immediately follow.
What is a PRO WHIP?
The PRO WHIP competition is a Big Air competition in which athletes perform tricks off a jump built especially for the event. The event is up at our Silver Lake area which is accessible via the Silver LakeExpress chairlift, which will be free to all those wishing to attend the event starting at 3 p.m. and the last ride down will be 7:30 p.m. Live entertainment will lead up to the event until 4 p.m. with food and beverage available for purchase from our food and beer trailers.
Will there be food and beverage available for purchase?
Yes, food and beverage will be available for purchase in the Snow Park Finish Line area from our food and beer trailers along with the Carpenter Café. Silver Lake will also be open for food and beverage from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily throughout the competition weekend. The Carpenter Café in the Snow Park area will open for coffee, drinks, and other morning needs at 8 a.m. every day of the event. Other operations will open closer to 11 a.m.
Is the Bike Park still available to ride during the event?
Absolutely. The Fox US OPEN only takes place on the NCS trail and will have minimal impacts on trails.Deer Valley will be open to the public Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September 13 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for summer operations.
Will the Carpenter Express chairlift spin and be available to the public?
Yes, it will spin, but only for registered athletes and those working at the event. Those with lift tickets may use the Silver Lake Express and Homestake Express chairlift for access to the course. Athletes may also use the Silver Lake Express and Homestake Express chairlifts as well for course access.
Will there be any other things going on during the event?
The Snow Park base area will have partner activations with giveaways and product information throughout the event weekend. Friday, Saturday and Sunday live music will take place at Snow Park from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and don’t forget about the PRO WHIP event Friday night starting at 5 p.m.
What days/hours will I be able to access the lifts?
Silver Lake Express, Homestake Express, and Sterling express will be running Thursday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The one exception is that on Friday Silver Lake Express and Homestake will run until 7 p.m. for the Best Whip event.
